Defiance Research Alliance efforts were celebrated during an open house on Friday, October 6th. The event was attended by various college and public officials and commemorated the establishment of the new Maumee Watershed Research Center. The renovated science lab allows students, under the direction of Dr. Sabrina Brown, to study water quality in the Maumee Watershed, the drinking water source for Defiance and other communities. Jen English, Project Coordinator joined Dr. Brown, Project Director and DC President Dr. Richanne Mankey, along with DC Trustees, Mayor Mike McCann and Bobby Mills, Friday in commemoration of the facility.
